SHIFT, Birmingham, Alabama* - *has now closed down. Others are starting in the city but not yet established. I’ll list them here as I hear about them.
About SHIFT:
- A boutique consultancy (with people in Austin, Sydney and NYC), the Birmingham Shift Workspace opened in April 2009. Less than a year later, it is/was under threat. (Update: Birmingham’s Shift has now closed).
- Bham’s space seemed to be more corporate/pro-active than Brum’s space. It services included trying to place its freelance members into relevant work projects (mainly those involving social media strategy, web and interactive design, creative strategy, branding and corporate identity, and project management).
